Conference Information

The Inter-University Metrology Conference organized by the scientific community of Polish universities has a long tradition. The first conference - entitled the Meeting of the Departments of Electrical and Electronic Metering and held in Szczecin in 1966 – focused on the methods of teaching metrology. It was then that the idea of an annual meeting of metrologists was first suggested, primarily as a forum for young scientists to present their work and discuss teaching issues. For over 50 years now, thousands of metrology professionals have participated in annual conferences sponsored by the scientific centers from all over Poland. We would like the conference to provide a meeting forum for members of all scientific communities dealing with metrology in Poland, the industry, and institutions working with measurements. We hope many legal and military metrology specialists, as well as industry representatives and members of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers will attend providing a platform for reflecting together on the history and future of metrology.

The conference will focus on the following topics, among others:
- Past and present history of metrology and prospects for its future development,
- The role of metrology in the innovative economy,
- Patterns, standards, certificates, accreditations,
- Measurements of physical and chemical quantities,
- Measurements in biology and medicine,
- Measurement and diagnostic systems,
- Measurement signal processing,
- Analyzing measurement results and uncertainty assessment,
- Measurement system modelling,
- Metrology instruction.
